Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Danmaku Translator browser extension and the service at danmaku.app and translate.danmaku.app, operated by Danmaku App. By installing or using the extension, you agree to them.

What the service does

Danmaku Translator translates danmaku and comment text displayed on bilibili.com into a language you choose, for your own personal viewing. It is a viewing aid; it does not download, store, redistribute, or republish any video, danmaku, or comment. All such content belongs to its original authors and rights holders.

Accounts

You can use the extension without an account, subject to a daily allowance of free credits. Signing in with Google does not change that allowance; it is what lets you subscribe and lets a subscription follow you between browsers. You are responsible for keeping access to your Google account secure. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service — for example by automating requests, creating accounts to circumvent the daily allowance, or reselling access.

Subscriptions and payment

• Plus is billed at US$10 per month or US$99 per year; Pro at US$30 per month or US$299 per year. Charged immediately at checkout.
• A subscription includes a fixed number of credits per billing period — 10,000 for Plus, 50,000 for Pro. Unused credits do not carry over to the next period.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
• You can cancel any time from the billing portal in the extension popup. Access continues until the end of the period you have paid for; we do not pro-rate partial periods.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction.
• We may change prices with notice; changes apply to your next renewal, never retroactively.

Refunds

If the extension does not work for you, email support@danmaku.app within 14 days of your payment and we will refund it. This is in addition to any statutory rights you have, including under Australian Consumer Law.

Availability and changes

The service depends on third parties, including bilibili.com and our AI translation provider. Bilibili may change its website at any time in ways that temporarily or permanently break the extension. We will make reasonable efforts to keep it working but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Machine translation is imperfect and may be inaccurate; do not rely on it where accuracy matters.

Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded by law.

No affiliation

Danmaku Translator is an independent project. It is not made by, endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Bilibili Inc., bilibili.com, or any of their subsidiaries. The name "Bilibili" is used only to describe the website the extension works with.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
